My boyfriend and I made these

Tasted absolutely delicious with seabuckthorn on top and a seabuckthorn and chocolate mousse

Picture from the dessert plate competition: the winning plate. Actually, I was a bit surprised that the presentation wasn't at a higher standard then its made by a professional pastry chef.

This eyecatcher is made of sugar. For this competition the rule is that all edible is permitted. Measurements min. 40 cm high. Optional material, all carried and assembled in the show tent.

Hangover after Imke's farewell party yesterday at Berlin Bar

Yesterday's party took place at the German-inspired bar "Berlin Bar. Most of us ended having one or two too beer to much...

I need some food to start the day but because of the hangover I waited until lunch. I went to Dondon sushi at Værnedamsvej because the prices for lunch are "fairly cheap".

Dondon Sushi Vesterbro
Værnedamsvej 8
1619 København K
http://www.dondon.dk/index.html#

(Lunchbox + todays offer: chicken on sticks, edamama and cucumber)

Not the best sushi, in fact, the best of all above was the edamama beens. I guess it's because it is very difficult to do any mistake when boiling them and add salt and lemon. As you might already guessed that I am not gonna give Dondon a high score although they must get the some positive points for using average but fresh ingrediens. Dondon you get the score of ♥. I did ate all of it and wouldn't have done so if it wasn't decent food.

I'm a big fan of takeaway because it gives me the opportunity to eat food wherever I want to. This time I brought the lunch to the green area next to the planetarium

Good morning sweet sister!

I was luck to get two days in a row with my sister which is a huge pleasure for me. Therefore I spoiled her with homemade bread and scamble eggs.
Enjoy sweet sister!

Normally this bread/buns will be prepared in the evening and left in the fridge until next morning. But I didn't think of it before I went to sleep the other day so I had to compromise and did it all this morning. The result are not the same but the best I could do in the situation.

Ingredients:
♥ 2.5 cups water
♥ 13.5 g yeast
2.5 dl wholemeal
♥ 3 cups flour
♥ 1.5 tablespoons oil
♥ 1 teaspoon salt
♥ 1.5 handful of oatmeal and some for topping (you can use alternatives like: flaxseed, sunflower seeds or a mix)

Method:
1) The yeast is mixed in the water. Mix it together with flour, oil and oats. Knead it together for some minutes and then add salt
2) Take the dough out of the bowl and knead it through on a floured surface. Divide the dough into equal pieces or form the dough as a bread before you let it stay overnight in the fridge covered with a slightly wet towel
3) Next day: Preheat the oven at 250 degrees and pensel the buns/bread with egg or buttermilk to git it a nice crust. Bake until done.

Later the same day we went shopping in the center of Copenhagen where we both ended buying a dress - not the same but two very nice one. Although we love shopping the weather was simply to hot so we decided to continue our day at Amager Standpark.

The heaven of sweets

Nikolaos Strangas
Conditori & Cakeaway
Åbouldevard 7
1635 København V
http://www.strangas.dk/

This is the ultimative place for people like who love exceptionally good cakes, macarons and other sweets.
The only bad thing I can say about the place that these peaces of heaven dosen't some cheap. His macarons comes at 20 DKK each, which compared to other vendors like Summerbird only cost 10 DKK each and Meyers Deli 15 DKK each. But I still must say that they are worth trying - it's not everyday food but why not try some really good once if you like macarons like me. you can buy a package of 6 for 100 DKK if you feel like.

Last time my boyfriend and I visit this place we didn't go for the macarons though. Instead we ended buying two of the delicious cakes. It was soooooo delicious and a must try! Enjoy.

Restaurant MOMO

Mørk Hansensvej 2
2000 Frederiksberg
http://www.momorestaurant.dk/

I often take a look at the many half-price websites like: Groupon, TilbudiByen, Spotdeal... I saw this offer from TilbudiByen offering 32 pieces of sushi from MOMO placed at Frederiksberg. Not a placce I have visit before but why not take a change and try it out when I leave nearby.

(inside-out maki rolles: 8 stk. California rool, 8 stk Sparking Tuna, 8 stk. Crispy Ebi og 8 stk. Crazy roll.)

It was okay but not the best I have tasted. I still perfer Omakase at Vesterbrogade and the prices are almost the same. MOMO get the score of ♥(♥).

Nordic Noodle

Nørrebrogade 29
2200 København N

(egg noodles With fresh cabbages, carrots, bean sprouts and egg, topped with fresh herbs. Optionals: prawns, leek and mushroom. Sauce: hot chili)

(egg noodles With fresh cabbages, carrots, bean sprouts and egg, topped with fresh herbs. Optionals: chicken, leek and broccoli. Sauce: red curry)

Our perfect spot of the day. Peblinge Sø, Copengahen

Nordic Noodle serve noodle disches with a very low starting price from 40 DKK: your choice of noodle/rice (rice noodles, egg noodles or whole grain rice) with fresh cabbages, carrots, bean sprouts and egg, topped with fresh herbs. Then you add different optionals like chicken, beef, prawns and different kind of vegetables all coming at different prices within a range of 5-13 DKK. Last you choose which sauce you would like from the list: gluten free soya, soya-ginger, sweet chili, hot chili, red curry and nordic oyster - sauce is free of charge.

We ended paying 126 in total for our meals, it is therefore a great alternative instead of pizza and similar food coming at low prices. Of cause you can do it cheaper than we did because we both ordred two types of optionals - its all up to you how much you would like to pay, at least you have a cheap optional to add to you list of "cheap take-away food".
The portion wasn't big enough for my boyfriends hunger but it tasted good.

My boyfriend love indian food so we visit Bindia at Elmegade. I asked for the most spicy dish they got
and was served "Chicken Madras" while my boyfriend went for the "Chicken Korma". Both disches was delicious and spicy and the kitchen uses fresh and high quality ingredients. It simply taste absolutely delicious. Bindia deserve

Torvehallerne with Camilla

One of my very best friends and I planned to go to this day's big event: Stella Polaris - the worlds biggest free chill-out festival. Before going there we had a small visit in Torvehallerne to get some food and drink.

We bought these in Boutique Fish:

(Tuna, salad and seaweed salad, Price 45 DKK)

(Smoked salamon, bulgur salad and seaweed salad, Price 45 DKK)

It tasted okay.. but nothing I would buy again therefore they get a score of The tuna looked delicious but was a bit tough. The smoked salmon with bulgur was a bit borring for my taste and I have tastet far better bulgur salad than this one. Seaweed salad and smoked salmon was okay and the overall ingrediens was fresh. No need to try this out because there are so many better choices of food in Torvehallerne.

(Cava and chocolate from A XOCO)

After the lunch we agreed it was time for some dessert. We bought 10 small pieces of chocolate in A XOCO by Anton Berg all with different taste. The one chocolate with passionfruit was my favorit, but we also tried out many other interesting combinations like: foiegras, strawberry and basil, lemon and thyme, liquorice... Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we saw the Cava bar and ordered a Cava Rosé to match or chocolates. Just love the day with Camilla!

Next stop Stella polaris..
