Green Papaya Salad - Thai food


SERVES 4 (side dish)

Ingredients:

  • 1 small green papaya
  • Carrot
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  • 3 spring onions
  • handful of fresh coriander
  • 1 red chili, sliced, seeds removed
  • 2 Tbsp. high quality vegetable oil
  • 2.5 Tbsp. fish sauce OR soy sauce for vegetarians
  • 3 Tbsp. lime juice
  • 1/2 to 1 Tbsp. liquid honey
  • 1/4 tsp. chili flakes or cayenne pepper

the first 5 ingredients are the main ingredients for the salad but you are welcome to add things such as prawns, basil leaves, green mango, tomato...
the last 5 ingredients are mixed together as a dressing

Enjoy.. it only takes 10 minutes to prepare
